Add support for SSL for Google-hosted contacts
Google are moving to SSL by default for Gmail as well and will likely move to SSL as a requirement down the track.
Most companies require secure options where available, our company for example enforce SSL policies stringently.
This will make your software significantly more useful to the business sector.
In version 1.0.2 that was released yesterday we introduce automatic SSL connection with Google Contacts/Google Apps.

That is at best a short term fix.

So perhaps this should be renamed to "Add support for SSL for Google-hosted contacts" and re-opened.

Hi!
This is not correct, ContactPad does indeed work with Google Apps. You just have to make a small change in your Google account settings.
Here are the steps:
Manage this domain (in Google-Mail) -> Settings -> Contacts -> Disable "Enforce SSL".After this, ContactPad will be able to connect to your Google account.
Best regards,
